WVIZ/PBS Only Local Station to Carry Four Digital Multi-Channels

WVIZ/PBS HD delivers the television lineup of regional and national performing arts, science, documentaries, drama and childrens’ programming such as Applause, Masterpiece, NOVA, Great Performances, Feagler & Friends and Sesame Street that viewers trust and expect. WVIZ/PBS is available on Channel 13 or 411 on Time Warner and over the air on 25.1.  Note that up to June 12, 2009 the same schedule is available over the air on WVIZ/PBS channel 25 and both up to and after will continue to be available on analog cable (Time Warner channel 2 or 5) or satellite. WVIZ/PBS Ohio Channel is a standard definition digital channel that makes available a mixture of state government, public affairs programming and Ohio based documentaries and programs, provided as a service of Ohio’s Public Broadcasting Stations. WVIZ/PBS WORLD is a digital channel featuring stories from around the world by providing acclaimed documentaries, as well as public affairs and news programming in standard definition. WORLD showcases not only award winning documentaries, it offers additional broadcasts of such favorites as Independent Lens, Frontline and The NewsHour.  See it on channel 25.3 or Time Warner 364 or check the chart.

WVIZ/PBS CREATE delivers a full schedule of public television’s lifestyle shows.  CREATE features many of television’s most recognized personalities and shows from the worlds of cooking, arts and crafts, gardening and home improvement including favorites such as Ciao Italia, Victory Garden, Rick Steves’ travel series, and more. It is available on channel 25.4 or Time Warner 365 or check the chart.

In addition, the digital channel 25.9 is our descriptive audio radio reading service in conjunction with the Cleveland Sight Center - the video is described for those visually impaired.
