A special edition of Feagler & Friends

Mary Anne Mayer and Janie Reinart, authors, Love You More Than You Know. For most Americans fighting their country’s battles in Iraq and Afghanistan there’s an anxious family at home fearful for their loved one’s safety, eager for their return home. Nearly 50 soldier moms from all over northeast Ohio tell their stories in a compilation published by Cleveland’s Gray & Company, Love You More Than You Know. They tell of apprehensive days and sleepless nights dreading a knock at the door that could bring disastrous news and turn the blue star in the window to gold. Mayer and Reinart tell their own soldier mom stories and describe what it’s like gathering such stories from other women who’ve sent loved ones to foreign shores.

Ted Henry, NewsChannel 5 Anchor: One of Cleveland’s most familiar faces called it a career this week. Ted Henry retired after nearly four decades of work at WEWS, Channel 5. The Canton native started his broadcast career in 1964 and came to Channel 5 in 1972. Three years later, Henry was made anchor of the news at 6 and 11 p.m., a position he held until his retirement this week. He's the winner of five local Emmys and is a member of the Broadcasting Hall of Fame. He intends to travel the world with his wife, Jody, interviewing influential religious figures.
