Ohio Governor Ted Strickland meets with Northeast Ohioans to discuss Education Reform in the Westfield Insurance™ Studio Theatre at Idea Center™ at PlayhouseSquare. This Town Hall Meeting is produced in partnership with WVIZ/PBS ideastream and is one of twelve being conducted across the state in partnership with Ohio's public television stations and The Ohio Channel.
At this forum, Governor Strickland will discuss the six principles for education reform he presented in his 2008 State of the State address as well as specific policy ideas for improving Ohio’s schools. A second round of education forums will be held later in the fall of 2008 and will focus on how to properly finance a “truly reformed system of education.” The Governor plans to introduce his education reform proposal in 2009.
