The State of Ohio is a weekly news program spotlighting the latest happenings at the Statehouse, in the Governor’s office, at the Ohio Supreme Court and throughout the Buckeye State. Award-winning host Karen Kasler presents viewers with unique analysis and thoughtful perspective on important issues of statewide interest through interviews with political leaders, newsmakers, experts and Ohio citizens. Keno will soon be opening in a bar or restaurant near you, in an effort to plug a hole in the state budget. Ohio is offering free college degrees for veterans from around the country. But it's not just a gesture of generosity. And a state lawmaker has a proposal to handle problems created by pit bulls - ban the breed entirely. But critics growl that it's basically dog discrimination, and won't do anything.
