The budget ax is back - another half a billion dollars needs to be hacked. Two think tanks say the state has been shooting itself in the foot when it comes to renewing its core communities, by spreading investment dollars around like peanut butter and developing programs that undermine each other. And we'll go back to the state's crime lab for more on how investigators are using their high-tech tools to solve crimes ranging from dog fighting to drug dealing.
