The Republican candidate for governor has been quietly running for that office for more than a year. John Kasich has been speaking to Republican meetings, talking at Tea Party rallies, and of course fundraising. He’s done a handful of national interviews, but not that much in the way of state or local media and hasn’t started running ads yet, and a new poll shows that 62% of voters haven’t heard enough about him to have an opinion of him. That’s likely to change in the next few weeks, starting with this interview. An exclusive and extended talk with John Kasich, this week on The State of Ohio.

Karen and Bill:
Great show and questions! This interview left me with a few questions as well.
1. How many corporate boards and who are they that Mr. Kasich serves on and how much does he receive in compensation from each of these boards?
2. Mr. Kasich stated if you can find it in the yellow pages - maybe the government shouldn’t be providing the services - is there a list that he has identified that meets his test?
3. What are his specific plans to cut the education bureaucracy and get more money to the classrooms?
Thanks again for your reporting!
