The State of Ohio is a weekly news program spotlighting the latest happenings at the Statehouse, in the Governor’s office, at the Ohio Supreme Court and throughout the Buckeye State. Award-winning host Karen Kasler presents viewers with unique analysis and thoughtful perspective on important issues of statewide interest through interviews with political leaders, newsmakers, experts and Ohio citizens. Thousands more Ohioans could be at risk for ID theft, but the complete review of the data device that stored that information is finally finished. The state sues to shut down a pair of charter schools it says aren’t making the grade. The state Foreclosure Prevention Task Force has approved final recommendations in a report to the governor. Ohio Congressman Paul Gillmor was honored in a historic ceremony at the Statehouse, which brought out hundreds of mourners from around the state and across the country to remember his service to the nation and to Ohio. And Statehouse veteran reporters Bill Cohen from Ohio Public Radio and Television and Lee Leonard, who’s retired from the Columbus Dispatch, look back on Gillmor’s 22 years in the Ohio Senate.
