The Ohio Supreme Court has effectively vetoed Governor Ted Strickland, in the case involving his first official act in office, the veto of a bill that Gov. Taft allowed to become law without his signature. Strickland and his new chancellor of the Board of Regents, Eric Fingerhut, announce the University System of Ohio, bringing together the state’s 13 public colleges and universities and 23 community colleges under one umbrella. The governor issues an unprecedented seventh reprieve for an Ohio killer who was set to die September 18 - John Spirko Junior’s execution is now set for January 24. The budget, the data device theft, the election of 2008….these are just a few of the many topics on the minds of the guests – Rep. Chris Redfern of Catawba Island, and the deputy director of the Ohio Republican Party, Rep. Kevin DeWine of Fairborn near Dayton.
