WVIZ/PBS ideastream®: The State of Ohio

The State of Ohio is a weekly news program spotlighting the latest happenings at the Statehouse, in the Governor’s office, at the Ohio Supreme Court and throughout the Buckeye State. Award-winning host Karen Kasler presents viewers with unique analysis and thoughtful perspective on important issues of statewide interest through interviews with political leaders, newsmakers, experts and Ohio citizens. Two weeks from now, the primary that wasn’t expected to matter could determine the fate of two candidates, and seal the deal for another. Karen Kasler, Bill Cohen and Jo Ingles go over the latest in primary news. Green businesses got a lot of attention in the governor’s State of the State speech, green has been a popular color for businesses in the last couple of years – not just for their bottom lines, but for their waste streams. Some companies are finding that there can be real money in the trash. Kimberly Gibson, special assistant for energy, transportation and regional collaboration with the Ohio Department of Development, and Ron Mills, executive director of the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio – SWACO – talk about some interesting enterprises growing around the state.
