Dr. Stephen M. Sagar
Associate Professor, McMaster University and Radiation Oncologist, Juravinski Cancer Centre
Holistic Health and Integrative Cancer Care: Repeating the Message!

Dr. Sagar is a board certified radiation oncologist and associate professor in the departments of Oncology and Medicine at McMaster University, Hamilton.

He has contributed to the educational programs of the esteemed oncology associations, ASTRO and ASCO, through teaching integrative medicine, and he has also been a teacher for the pastoral counseling graduate course at Wilfred Laurier University. He has published widely, and is a member of the editorial boards of Focus on Alternative and Complementary Medicine, Integrative Cancer Therapies, Journal of the Society for Integrative Oncology, and Current Oncology. One of his interests is the neurobiology of spirituality and mind/body medicine and its application to healthcare reform. He has published 100 manuscripts and book chapters while continuing a busy clinical practice and research program. He is currently President of the International Society for Integrative Oncology (http://www.integrativeonc.org).
