“Chain
Reaction” EcoKids website (sponsored by Earth Day
Canada)
This is a simple game that starts out with a very general
explanation of the types of animals on the food chain/web
(omnivores, herbivores, etc) then launches into a game in
which the students must choose which animals go in which locations
on the food chain- In the next section, the students discover
what happens when one type of species is eliminated. |

website. This is another example of an activity that can be
done in a classroom in order to demonstrate the concept of
