Terry D. Peterson , Founder of Verite’ Productions, is an award- winning producer and director of both long and short form videos for broadcast, corporate, and educational projects. Peterson’s early broadcast experience was gathered over a period of three years at WXYZ-TV in Detroit. There, as an innovative and often bold promo producer, he earned two Emmy nominations and an Emmy in 1987.

His next career move took him to Hollywood, California, where he honed his television production skills to a cutting edge as the Senior Writer-Producer of Encore Communications, Inc. Shortly after his arrival in Cleveland, Ohio, the Gateway Communications Group offered him a Senior Writer-Producer position. What followed was another string of award winning projects, not the least of which is an affecting film, “On the Edge” geared toward young people and funded by the Think First Foundation. A true labor of love, “On the Edge” earned eight national awards, including a Telly Award; a Silver Screen Award in the 1994 US International Film & Video Festival; and the highly-prized Bronze Anvil Award, the Public Relations Society of America’s top honor.

Following several years at a local production company whose clients included many of the fortune 500 companies headquartered in Cleveland, Peterson joined WUAB-TV, former long-time television home of baseball’s much-revered Cleveland Indians. As WUAB-TV’s Director of Marketing and Promotions, Peterson found ample opportunities to put his unique stamp on breakthrough promotional campaigns, which once again drew local and national attention.

Terry is President of the Cleveland Regional Chapter of NATAS, the National Academy of Television Arts & Science, and is serving on the Board Trustees for True North Performing Arts. He and his wife Karen reside in Bay Village.
