Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is made up of representatives from schools, school districts and Educational Service Centers in Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Lake, Huron, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Richland, Summit and Wayne counties who serve as communication partners with WVIZ/PBS ideastream and attend Advisory Council meetings.

At Advisory Council meetings, representatives learn about cutting-edge professional development workshops related to the use of electronic media and technology in the classroom, instructional TV, online learning, distance learning programs and early childhood workshops and activities.  Additionally, nationally recognized speakers and technology experts present timely educational topics and demonstrate the latest applications, tools and resources for educators.

Representatives take information back to their school or district to share with teachers, curriculum specialists and school administrators, and also have an opportunity to bring their needs and concerns to WVIZ/PBS ideastream.
