Video Duplication Service
WVIZ/PBS ideastream offers a fee-based service for duplication of instructional programming to all member schools and districts. Schools may order copies of any instructional television programs and series that offer duplication rights in either VHS or DVD format. Check the listing in the online catalog for the programs you want to order. Be sure that “Duplication” is listed under availability.
Two order forms are provided for your convenience. The secure Online Order Form (coming soon) requires that you have a credit card number or P.O. number. You may also use the Print Order Form and mail or fax it with your payment or purchase order number. Checks and purchase orders should be made out to WVIZ/PBS ideastream.
WVIZ/PBS member schools will pay $10.00 for a single stand-alone program up to one hour in length, or for the first 60 minutes of a series (SP mode on VHS) on one videotape or DVD. Any length over 60 minutes but less than the limit of 2 hours per tape will cost an additional $10. Schools may submit an open purchase order at the beginning of the school year, to allow more flexibility in ordering during the school year. For more information on ordering, contact the Educational Services Programming Coordinator, Jean O’Malley, at 216-916-6352 (jean.o’malley@ideastream.org).
Nationally distributed PBS programs like NOVA and American Experience, or Arthur and Cyberchase, do not have duplication rights. Reading Rainbow also does not have duplication rights. These programs must be recorded off-air or purchased from their distributor.
