Space Shuttle Atlantis Blasts off to Space Station Carrying Load of Spare Parts

Space Shuttle Atlantis began its journey to the International Space Station with a full load of spare parts on Tuesday. NASA is packing as much equipment as possible on these last few runs, since the three space shuttles will be retired next year. Atlantis reached the station Wwednesday, and will return to earth late next week with an extra passenger - Nicole Stott, an astronaut who arrived at the station in August. They will all spend Thanksgiving in space.
