Some Lakewood High School students had an awesome experience in our nation's capitol last week. The eleven students and two teachers traveled to Washington to attend a workshop in the White House. Hosted by the First Lady, it was about music from our country's Civil Rights era. The students were chosen for the leadership activities they have taken on with Cleveland's chapter of "Facing History and Ourselves." The students also attended that evening's concert in the White House where several sat right in the front row with the Obama and Biden families.
