“Odd Girl Out” Online Book Discussion Group

Registration for this course is open.

Course Description:
This Online Book Discussion Group is centered around Rachel Simmons’ book “Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls.” The book is a fascinating look at the alternative paths aggression can take with girls in a culture that has certain expectations for their roles. In a four-week format, this course guides the learner through the book, exploring the hot-button topic and creating a common vocabulary for its discussion. As a final project, the learner creates an Anti-Bullying Plan in the context of their role in education that is specifically focused on alternative aggression.
