Staff and students were eager participants
in our unexpected visit. Several students pulled up the website
last night and then joined us in the studio for the teleconference.
There is something poetic about sign language. I loved watching
the interpreter’s hands and facial expression tell them
what was happening. My daughter, Teci, learned signing a few
years ago, but I had forgotten the few expression she taught
me. The kids showed me how to sign “Nice to meet you,”
and what your hands do for this phrase is lovely and logical.
Do you know someone who knows how to sign? Ask them how to say
nice to meet you. It’s cool.
