WVIZ/PBS ideastream®: Programming

Order a Tape

Want to own a copy of a program you have seen on WVIZ/PBS?

Unfortunately WVIZ/PBS can’t sell most of them to you directly - the rights we get only include the ability to broadcast the programs, not to sell them.

PBS Programs
Because much of our programming comes through PBS, the Public Broadcasting Service, many of our shows are available through them. For a complete list of videos currently offered through PBS, please visit www.shoppbs.org or call (800) PLAY PBS (800-752-9727) to place your order.

Non-PBS Programs
Some other programs may be a little harder to locate. Those can frequently be found by calling VIDEOFINDERS at (800) 343-4727. Some common program providers include:

American Public Television (APT), www.aptonline.org
Thirteen WNET New York, www.shopthirteen.org or 888-336-1917
WGBH Boston, www.shop.wgbh.org or 888-255-9424

Local Programs
Looking for a tape of Applause or Feagler & Friends? Call our main number (216) 916-6100 and ask for the Assistant Producer/Researcher for Local Programming.

Instructional Television
Teachers and students can find instructional television materials in a couple of different ways. Information on K-12 instructional television programming can be found on this Web site in the Instructional Television Resource Guide. Many of these programs are either broadcast on WVIZ/PBS during the day or in overnight blocks of programming, and are also available on tape from the Video Resource Center. For more details, click on the Resource Guide. Call Jean O’Malley at 216-916-6100 with any unanswered questions. For information on how to get PBS programs for use in the classroom, go to the PBS Teachers site at www.pbs.org/teachers or call (800) PBS-SHOP (752-9727).

And if you still can’t find what you’re looking for click on contact us or call 216-916-6100 and ask for help.
