Bringing Floating Homes to Lake Erie
Regional News Stories: Thursday, January 18, 2007
In states like California, people will pay enormous sums of money to buy a house with an ocean view. Coastal land is at a premium and the price reflects that. Now there's one developer who hopes to bring the concept to Ohio. He envisions a community of homes on Lake Erie. ideastream's Eric Wellman reports.

Harnessing Lake Erie’s Wind Power
Regional News Stories: Tuesday, December 5, 2006
The electricity being generated by wind turbines accounts for a mere .6% of the total amount of energy sold in the U.S. The U.S. Department of Energy wants that expanded to 20% in the next decade. Series
The Return of the Cuyahoga
The Return of the Cuyahoga is a fascinating look at the life, death and rebirth of one of America’s most polluted rivers. Perhaps best known as “the river that burned,” the Cuyahoga is, in fact, an emblematic waterway. Its history is the history of the American frontier, the rise of industry, and the scourge of pollution. In 1969, when the river caught on fire, the blaze ignited a political movement that not only saved the Cuyahoga and its communities, but continues today with the current environmental movement. More information about the movie, which premiered April 22, 2008 on WVIZ/PBS, is available here.
