Seminar #1
Champagne Stunners

$60 per person
Perhaps some of the greatest Bubbles produced in Champagne hail from the cellars of Perrier-Jouet and G. H. Mumm.  We will taste profound examples of both houses tete cuvees that are as delicious as they are expensive (but worth it!).

Tasted are: 1999 Perrier-Jouet ‘Fleur’ Brut; 2002 Perrier-Jouet ‘Fleur’ Rose; 2000 Perrier-Jouet ‘Fleur’ Blanc de Blanc; NV Perrier-Jouet Blason Rose; NV G. H. Mumm Cordon Rouge Rose; and 1998 G. H. Mumm Cuvee Rene La Lou. Ed Thompkins, Wine Buyer from Heinen’s, presents.

Seminar #2
The “It Just Keeps Getting Better” Bordeaux Seminar With Dan Greathouse

$100 per person
In an attempt to stuff six liters of wine in a 750ml bottle, this year’s “Great Estate” tasting led by Heidelberg Distributing Company president and Bordeaux importer Daniel Greathouse will combine a blind tasting, some bubbles, a special guest and an estate profile of Chateau Valandraud, a wine far more rare than Bordeaux’s first-growths.

After a glass of Bolly, attendees will go straight to work blind-tasting through a flight of top-secret wines before being rewarded with a profile of Jean-Luc Thunevin. He’s the leader of Bordeaux’s garage wine movement and, along with his wife Murielle Andraud, owner of Chateau Valandraud. Robert Parker says, “Valandraud is one of the most interesting stories in Bordeaux. The wine is made from an unheralded terroir owned by the young, obsessive/compulsive, exuberantly passionate Jean-Luc Thunevin. Sadly, Valandraud has become the darling of speculators, largely because of its fabulous quality, and its limited production… Valandraud symbolizes what can be done in Bordeaux when the limits of quality are pushed to the maximum.” This seminar is sure to sell out quickly, so order your tickets soon!

Seminar 3, 4 and 5 - 4:30 to 5:30 PM
