Graduate Credits

Please note:  graduate credit is a separate cost for non-TeacherLine courses.  For other online courses, including online book groups, graduate credit is offered through Ashland University at the cost of $156 per credit.

Graduate Credit Forms
We now have all graduate credit forms online. Please follow all directions carefully. All graduate credit forms must be received by WVIZ/PBS ideastream by the fifth day after the course start date. We cannot grant late graduate credit.

General Instructions for Graduate Credit through WVIZ/PBS ideastream®
The most important part of these instructions is that you read all of the instructions and follow all of the directions. If we receive partially completed forms we will not forward them to the universities and you will not receive graduate credit. It is the learner’s responsibility to complete all graduate credit forms accurately and completely. All graduate credit forms are due in to WVIZ/PBS ideastream by the fifth day after the start date of the course. No late graduate credit will be accepted. We cannot make exceptions to this as we have agreements with our graduate credit providers.

We offer graduate credit through the following universities:

* Ashland University (Pass/Fail)
* The University of Akron (Pass/Fail)

Please note that each university has a slightly different process. Ashland and The University of Akron only offer pass/fail credit.

Please do the following:
1. Print out the applicable form and instructions for that form.
2. Fill out all paperwork completely.
3. Pay by check or by credit card (made payable to WVIZ/PBS ideastream)
4. Send in your paperwork to:

All graduate credit paperwork MUST be received by WVIZ/PBS ideastream by the fifth day after the course start date. Graduate credit paperwork that is received without payment will not be processed.

Obtaining Transcripts
Following the conclusion of the course, you will need to obtain your transcript from the university of your choice.  Please contact them directly to receive your transcript.  The information below will help you contact them.  Be advised we need some internal time to process the graduate credit, as does the colleges.  Transcripts should be available within around 4 weeks of the completion date of the course.

Ashland University
