*Make a Documentary at the Zoo with a Flip Camera
July 7 & 14 (Graduate Credit Available): Learn the complete operation of your brand new Flip Ultra 60 minute video camera and leave with the skills to use it as a teaching tool. Learn about the various exhibits at the Zoo as well as classroom resources available for teachers. Look in the column to right for more details.

*Interactive Student Response Systems (For All Teachers and Administrators)
Easily conduct multiple assessments, track student learning, and engage your entire class with a TurningPoint student response system. With this cutting edge student response technology, teachers can create interactive PowerPoint® presentations that collect real-time responses from students, and quickly assess students’ achievement toward state standards.

Cost: $1,500 (includes a class set of 24 response systems) or $1,739 (includes a class set of 32 response systems).  All purchases include (1) three hour training session for three participants, $100 for each additional participant.

*Mimio Interactive
Create a dynamic, inexpensive, interactive work surface with mimio® interactive. It uses a small piece of hardware to convert any whiteboard into a fully interactive one. It is easy to use, easy to install, light weight and easy to share on a technology cart in every classroom. With the mimio bar, your computer, and your LCD projector you can convert a standard whiteboard into an interactive whiteboard! Everything on your computer is now accessible from your whiteboard! What an inexpensive solution to having an interactive board!

*Elmo Document Camera
Do away with the static overhead transparencies and turn your students on with digital image technology.  Research shows that stimulating visual displays are easily grasped, retained and absorbed by students. Receive a lightweight and easily transportable ELMO TT-O2s and learn how to use it as an effective teaching tool by providing exciting visual technology presentations.  Be on your way to improving attention, retention, and test scores.

*Second Chance Workshop

Have you taken a workshop at WVIZ without putting into practice your newly acquired knowledge? Register for the any workshop you took in the last 12 months and enter ‘Second Chance’ in the comments section. Bring your equipment and/or notes to the workshop.

*A Technology Concierge at Your School

Cost: $335 for the first three hours and $50 for each additional hour
Is your staff experiencing trouble with tasks in Word, PowerPoint, the SMART Board, or any
other technology? A WVIZ staff member will visit your school for three hours.

All workshops will be held at the Idea Center® at PlayhouseSquare, 1375 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland unless otherwise noted.  Directions will be emailed with confirmation. All workshops include a snack and/or light meal and free parking in the Playhouse Square Garage.  All workshops are one session unless otherwise noted.

Graduate Credit
Receive one graduate credit hour from Ashland University for every 15 hours of workshops attended for the additional fee of $185.
