Local Conservation District Resources:

EnviroScape
The EnviroScape® is a portable, interactive educational tabletop model that demonstrates sources of non-point source pollution and its effect on waterways.
It is a hands-on education & communication tool that is effective for all ages and allows the participants to relate local water pollution sources to the impacts
on nearby creeks, bays, and oceans. EnviroScape also emphasizes pollution prevention through the use of best management practices (BMPs).

Soil Erosion Simulator
Demonstrate how the forces of rain affect different landscapes in the environment. Students compare the runoff from bare soil, mulched soil and grass.

Streamulator

This model stream demonstrates stream dynamics and erosion potentials as
the students experiment with various methods of stream bank stabilization.

Stream Monitoring Equipment
Kick seines, slides of macroinvertebrates, macroinvertebrate identification keys, etc.
